Module 2 activity 8a
At Ottos Comprehensive we are slowing adopting teaching spaces. What I have found is that most of the teachers who are against it are the older teachers.

Module 10 Activity 7
This Activity is the most difficult I had to work on in the whole module. In my country, there is a board of education who supplies most of the school's needs in terms of IT. So in terms of cabling, paying for security and all that it was difficult for me to work these things out.
Module 10 Activity 6
Most of the areas for a successful ICT programme is in place at my school. Our biggest issue is security. We have made steps towards addressing this issue but still have a long way to go.

Module 10 Activity 5
Drafting the policy really made me think that I should have one at my school as soon as possible. Even though the scope of the activity does not lend itself to including contracts. I will be including one each for parents and students into my school's policy.
Module 10 Activity 3

This is the first time I am conducting a SWOT analysis. It was a real eye opener. I am beginning to realize that I need to vary my methods of testing. I do not conduct enough formative tests but have been relying on my summative testing to guide my teaching.

Module 4 Activity 7
Feedback is a very important part of teaching and learning. It is important that as teachers we try to make our feedback be stated in a positive way e.g It is clear that you spent a lot of time on the project. There are various areas you can add a little to to improve it.
Module 4 Activity 6
I found this Activity very interesting, especially the website which had the maps. You can learn so much information from reading various types of maps.

Module 4 Activity 5

I just did not understand this activity until I had completed the assignment 2. I kept asking myself how can I assess an assessment rubric? Finally understood.

Module 4 Activity 4

I have never thought much about using peer assessment. And have only used it when writing essays. I know I will be using this method of assessment and self assessment more in the future.
Module 4 Activity 3

I found myself trying to work out how I learn and thinking back to students I taught and trying to figure where they fell and what I might have done to aid them in their learning.

Module 4 Activity 2

This activity was also very insightful and took me back to the days of classroom testing and teaching. The activity also made me want to vary my assessment practices more in the classes I teach.
Module 4 Activity 1
I found myself examining my assessment practices in the past and I realize that I have  not been using enough Formative assessments.

Module 10 Activity 2B
I am very excited about the course ICT integration has been taking in my school. My vision for my school and for the next 10 years is to see ICT integrated into allo subject areas. I know it will take a lot of hard work and commitment from all teachers. To this end, an ICT policy for the school will have to include:
  • The aims of ICT and how i9t relates to and contribute to the school’s aims
  • The contribution ICT will make to the curriculum
  •  How the subject will be monitored and evaluated
  • A strategy for implementation
  • Classroom and resource management
  • Staff development and training issues

Module 10  Activity 2A
In reading the various post, It was clear that most of us were experiencing similar problems and that each school must have clear ICT policies if the use of ICTs in school will be integrated smoothly.
Module 10 Activity 1B
As Rosemarie said, in writing the letters I noticed that a lot of my colleagues were able to make us of some of the knowledge gained in previous modules.
Module 10 Activity 1A
I am beginning to realize that there are no clear lines as to where a school is in terms of phases.
